DC Motor Repairs

DC motors repairs are fast becoming our primary repair item. The common misconception is that these motors are obsolete and must be replaced with AC motors and drives. Yes, if the customer has the money, but in most cases not. DC motors have been around for years and years and they will be around for many years to come. They are hard working, durable and work horse like.

The problem is these motors and DC drives needs proper PPM, the brushes wear thus the commutator becomes pitted, so undercutting and skimming are nessecessary. More often than not these motors are worked 24/7 so bearings also need to be routinely checked
