NEW product available from WEG Gear Systems (formally Watt drive) WG20 Helical Worm
“We are delighted to announce the sales release of the WG20 “S” Helical-Worm Gear line”
These new WG20 Worm Geared Units are initially available direct from the factory in Austria but will also be available from WEG (UK) build centre later this year.
Snap shot of the benefits of the new Helical Worm:
- Matches the dimensions of the European footprint market standard.
- The product delivers at least the same torque as the market competitors.
Additional Options available:
- Fitted with IE4 electric motors
- Fitted with MW500 decentralized inverter (IE3 or IE4)
- Can offer an ATEX version too.

WG20-S features a 2-stage design with significantly higher efficiency levels compared to mere worm gear units. The advantages of a right-angle gear unit in combination with numerous output and input variants provide a cost-effective alternative for the end user. Quiet running, overload capacity, compact design and a large speed/reduction range make these geared motors indispensable in modern drive concepts.
